If you are looking for somewhere to eat and drink locally we strongly recommend the Angel Inn. The small town of Bowness is a short walk from Ravenscroft and the Angel Inn is definately worth a visit.  There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating (but outdoor seating does fill-up in the summer). The food is great, make sure you checkout the specials board inside which is on the wall on the right as you walk towards the bar.
